BACKGROUND: The three year anniversary of Black Thought’s epic 10+ minute freestyle on Funk Flex was Monday, December 14, 2020. Like many others, I’ve been in awe of this freestyle by Black Thought since the day it dropped. When I saw it was the 3 year anniversary, I immediately had to drop everything and work on a flip. I was surprised to find no one else had flipped this freestyle before. After my flip was completed, I started thinking that maybe others would like to flip it as well – and that’s how this challenge was born.
